THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD
Even in the midst of a challenging year, we have seen the goodness of the Lord. In January through mid-March, three church buildings were constructed, a medical campaign was held for the remote areas of Lacandon, along with a women’s conference, lots of children’s ministry and two weeks of IBI classes in Chenalho as well as orientation at the new campus in Tuxtepec.
This newsletter gives some of the updates on the work of the ministry since March even though teams were unable to travel into MX. We are so proud of the pastors and leaders who have continued to minister to their congregations through the same challenges we have here in the US. Some of them have personally had to overcome covid 19 and others have lost family and church members to the sickness. Many have lost sources of income, but through it all the church of our Lord Jesus is strong in MX. Also, your contributions to help with the many needs has never lacked throughout this year. For that, we say a big thank you for your faithful giving! In addition to these photos, two others church buildings are under construction in the mountains of Chiapas.
Our prayers are with you all! May you and your family have a very blessed New Year!
Good Tidings From Mexico
Russell enjoyed meeting with pastors and leaders of Chiapas and Oaxaca in September after several months of separation due to Covid-19.
Russell brought 100 pounds of Abeka homeschooling materials in English to Pastor Carlos and Barbara’s sons: Carlitos, Daniel and Jonathan, as part of the September trip.
Pastor Cesar Salcedo, Director of IBI-Tuxtepec Bible School received this computer through a special donation to Mexico Outreach.
Thanks to all who made Obed Salcedo’s English studies at Dallas Baptist University a reality!
He enjoyed his time in the US, and is now fluent in English. God has amazing plans for Obed’s life!
Special thanks to LaNell Miller & Robin for ministering to pastors’ wives in a November meeting hosted by Barbara Horn of Tuxtla.
New Church Buildings
Requests for help with construction of church buildings come in a variety of ways. Here is one of those unique requests from Monte Libano. The church leaders came bearing gifts of live chickens, bananas, coffee, corn, eggs, etc. God knows they gave the very best of what they had!
